This renowned Clare Valley winemaker is rated by Halliday as a red 5 star winemaker, making him one of the top 3.6% of all winemakers in Australia. Scoring 95 Points from Halliday, this wine is an example of where Australian wine is heading being more fruit driven with less oak.
The 2017 Ghost Clare Valley Premium Shiraz is brilliant red in colour with youthful crimson hues. Lifted flavours of red fruits, dark cherries and liquorice, beautifully wrapped up in subtle toasty French notes. Sculptured natural tannins and quality French oak char adding to the wine's already impressive length and complexity. Will easily improve in the cellar for another 12 to 15 years.
